Joing us in supporting Drowning Prevention Week 2025
As summer approaches, so does the risk of drowning, especially among children and teenagers cooling off in rivers, lakes, canals, and reservoirs. Even strong swimmers can face hidden dangers in open water.
According to the RLSS UK’s National Drowning Report 2023, 46% of drownings happen in summer, rising to 75% among 13–17-year-olds. Most of these tragedies are preventable with the right knowledge and awareness.
We’re proud to support Drowning Prevention Week alongside Yorkshire Sport Foundation and Active Leeds. Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing vital water safety messages, and we need your help.
