This session will outline the SUDIC process and how it fits into the wider work of the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP). Particularly there will be a focus on the expectations of practitioners who may become involved in contributing to the conduct of a SUDIC case, to ensure that families are adequately and sensitively supported. Presenters will consider the importance of practitioners accessing support to enable them to meaningfully contribute, and also how to look after themselves. Slides will be available, with further information and additional sources of support.
This training session is being offered in light of the changes to Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the updated local safeguarding arrangements.
