Introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation

This presentation is a brief introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). CSE can be a complex issue and it is recommended that for staff groups who work directly with children and young people, practitioners and professionals undertake further reading around the subject.

This presentation includes:

  • The definition of CSE
  • Common models of grooming and exploitation
  • The signs to look for
  • The importance of sharing intelligence
  • What to do if you have a concern about a child.

It is important that anyone delivering this session in-house ensures that all participants have completed Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Young People (or another introductory level safeguarding course relevant to their role) first. Please check Which training is right for me? for more guidance.

There is currently no charge for access to this in-house briefing.
